Damian Johnson
Damian Johnson and his brother Jermaine Johnson founded No Grease! Inc. in 1997. They have worked hard at mastering the Tonsorial Arts (Barbering) in Buffalo, NY. No Grease! has 6 barbershops- including an exclusive men’s grooming lounge located at Spectrum Arena home of the Charlotte Hornets. Other locations include No Grease Mosaic (JCSU Campus), No Grease Unlimited at Concord Mills Mall, No Grease at Carolina Place Mall and the latest location No Grease Sugarloaf Mills, in Atlanta, Georgia and No Grease!, Columbian, South Carolina. Damian is also a managing partner of No Grease School of Tonsorial Art with 50 students enrolled.
Today the Johnson brothers (better known as “The Twins”) have authored a book entitled, “Urbanpreneurship,” and are sharing their knowledge, experience and story in a Motivational business seminar called Beauty/Barbernomics.
No Grease has been featured numerous times in the Charlotte Observer, Pride Magazine, Charlotte Post, Charlotte Business Journal, Creative Loafing and have been the recipient of numerous awards for civic and community evolvement in Charlotte, North Carolina.
These two men were recently recognized by the citizens of their hometown Buffalo NY and the Mayor of Buffalo proclaim a day (June 19th) named Damian and Jermaine Johnson Day. Go figure! June 19th, 1865 is the day the last remaining slaves in the state of Texas were informed about their Freedom hence JUNETEENTH. 150 years later we’re living the Freedoms of our ancestors.
Tressa Morrissette Blake
Tressa Morrissette Blake is a mother of two, educator, entrepreneur, and aspiring author. She is a proud graduate of NC Agricultural and Technical State University where she earned a degree in Marketing. In addition she holds a Masters degree in Education from Wingate University. Traveling, cooking, tennis, and spending time with family are her fondest pastimes.
